Don’t Let Bush Administration Take Our Giant Sequoias!

care2 petitionsite actionAlert

Hi Shannah,

When we all thought the Bush administration couldn’t get any worse for our environment and natural places, we hear about possible plans to log the Giant Sequoias.

It’s time this area was truly protected so these attacks will stop for good. >>

In the past few years there have been numerous attempts by the Bush administration to open the Giant Sequoia National Monument to logging. Can you imagine that? Logging the Sequoias? It’s just completely absurd.

The Sierra Club has listed the Giant Sequoia National Monument as one of the 52 most important places to protect in the next 10 years. These magnificent forests provide essential habitat for the California spotted owl, Pacific fisher, and myriad other plants and animals.

Please sign the petition today to bring real protection to the Giant Sequoia National Monument. >>

Thank You for taking action!

Sincerely,Emily

  1. Awesome!! I just did a google search, and your blog came up. Keep up the good work. I live in Mpls, MN. I really think the biggest issue of today is the interior environment. The loging, mining, mountain top removal, Klamath, oila nd gas drilling. The list goes on and on…anyhow, I think we have things in common.
